01 / Story
Meeez began life as “Basharaf”, the in-house system of our own restaurants, built for a real problem: several branches, several cash desks and several spreadsheets that never agreed. I wanted one place where every toman coming in or going out of each branch was visible the same day.
Today it runs the Basharaf restaurants and is becoming a product any restaurant can license: double-entry accounting with reversing transactions, contacts and cheques, payroll, a database-driven recruitment form, inventory and recipes, a digital menu with online ordering, table reservations and management reports.
Money is stored as integer toman everywhere, user-facing dates are Jalali, and access is role-based. Every change goes through unit and integration tests and deploys automatically when it lands on main.
